Here's a sun-lounger and shade just waiting for you on the beach at Freeport, located on Grand Bahama Island. Freeport became a major tourist attraction in the 1950's, when the American, Wallace Groves, began developing more than 50,000 acres of land on the island. In addition to the frequent trading that happens year round in the Freeport harbour, tourism has grown up from the city of Freeport to become the city's largest source of revenue. Freeport is also the second largest city in the Bahamas.
You can go scuba diving or dolphin watching in the Blue Lagoon, or simply soak up the sun in the daytime and the night-life in the evenings.
When it comes to somewhere to rest your head at night you can choose from the simple to the simply luxurious. You could, for example, stay in a beach house like the one below, which is on the beach in Nassau.

Rachel Kum and the other Miss Universe girls in their swimsuits
It looks like Miss Singapore Rachel Kum is making waves in Bahamas. She seems to be the favourite of the photographers who are covering the Miss Universe 2009. One thing I would like to say, Rachel is in great form and she's giving the other girls a run of their money. She looks beautiful and fresh. I just don't know if you agree with me.
Just a little trivia, before Rachel flew to Bahamas, she spent some days in Maldives to get a little tan. She blogged this journey in her official site.
